September 5th, 2019 to be purchased by the interested users.

Reliance Jio has always surprised the world with it’s over
the top, unimaginable and somehow affordable innovations and launches. Reliance
Jio has changed the Indian Mobile Network and Internet landscape forever. No one

Internet of Things - all

you the information in your app.
What is Internet of Things (IoT) actually?
Simply put the interconnection between various devices via
the internet in everyday life to send and receive data. It can be easily
understood with example – Imagine controlling your microwave through your phone
which is connected to the network and you are setting the time that for how long
it should cook, when it will start and stop. Or setting up the temperature of
your Refrigerator while you are driving or commuting through your phone or
Laptop. Auto switching on/off your TV and many other things you can do with IoT
enabled devices.
A unique id is allotted to every device that is going to be
interconnected and thus in this way it can send you the data or information you
should know and thus controlling it anywhere anytime. The self driving cars
will be based on IoT technology.
Home broadband - Jio Gigafiber
launched its home broadband, it is not only a broadband but it has so many different
other things. 1gbps speed through optical fiber for home broadband. It wasn’t
commercially launched but is now going to launch on 5th September.
1gbps unlimited speed, a landline phone will be provided and you can make free unlimited
calls through it to all the other networks. And paid plan for the unlimited
International calls. So with broadband we are getting many other things which are
not usually provided by the other broadband services. It’s Jio after all.
Video Conferencing - You
can make video calls through your Television by attaching a usb camera to your
TV. So you can enjoy video calls or video conferencing (up to 4 live feeds from
anywhere in the world) through the Jio Gigafiber network. So the things you
were doing through your mobile phones can now be done through your Televisions
at the comfort of your home through Jio GigaFiber set-top box.
Jio Gigafiber set-top box - has
all the functionalities – Jio calls, Jio store, Jio cinema, games etc. You don’t
have to buy a separate play station to play games now. The Jio Gigafiber set
top box will provide this in built feature too. Everything’s happening through
data. Everything’s through the set top box.
MR (Mixed Reality) –
There are two things, AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality). So the
combination of these two is MR. Separate headset has to be bought to experience
this feature. Wear MR headset or glasses you will be able to virtually shop,
virtually travel, watch educational videos, and watch movies and many other
amazing things in the virtual world. This is going to be amazing as you can
travel to the various places of your choice by staying at your home only, shop
at the virtual malls, watch movies and many other things.
Jio Gigafiber Plans
So Jio Fiber is going to be commercially launched on 5th
September 2019 at the 3rd anniversary of Jio launch.
Jio will provide 100mbps minimum speed in its base plan. It
can be extended to 1gbps plan, based on the usage and plans. The Pricing starts
from Rs 700 for minimum basic plan and up to Rs 10,000 for the premium plans per
month in increasing order.
It’s not clear that how much will be provided in Rs 700, the
details will be given on the commercial launch event. They have just declared
the price range of plans and that can be used commercially by the big organizations
who consume a lot of data or non-commercially for home or personal use who use
data in a limited quantity. So the price is varied.
Jio Gigafiber – watch Movies on the day of its release
You will be able to watch the First day first show of a
newly released Movie at your home. This feature of experiencing movie at home
instead of theatre will be launched in the mid 2020. It will be interesting to
watch how the piracy of that movie will be prevented by Jio. Because the 1st
day 1st show Premium quality movie at home on Smart TV can be
recorded and sold by anyone. So how are they going to prevent it and what laws
or technology, security are they going to implement to save it from piracy are
yet to be known.
